Securing Your Session

A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to reserve your session date and time. Your booking is not considered confirmed until the deposit has been received. The total sitting fee is $600, which includes: the creative portrait session, one professionally edited fine-art digital portrait, and access to the proof gallery for artwork selection. The remaining $300 balance is due on the day of your session.

Artwork Collections & Upgrades

Following your session, you may select one of the curated artwork collections. Collection upgrades may be selected either before or after the session, including after the proof gallery has been delivered.

Final Payment

The sitting fee is applied toward your selected collection. If you choose to upgrade your collection after the session or after receiving the proof gallery, the remaining balance for the upgraded collection must be paid before final editing and delivery begin. The remaining balance for your selected collection is due before final delivery of edited artwork. Failure to complete payment may result in delayed delivery of final images.

Rescheduling Policy

If you need to reschedule your session, notice must be provided at least 72 hours in advance. I will make every reasonable effort to provide a new date based strictly on availability. If scheduling conflicts prevent a new session date from being arranged, the sitting fee remains non-refundable.

Lateness Policy

Because these sessions take place within your home and require a focused and uninterrupted working environment, timing is extremely important. A strict 30-minute grace period applies. If you are unavailable or the session cannot begin within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time, I reserve the right to cancel the session, and all payments made will remain non-refundable.

The Intuitive Process

My approach to portraiture is deeply intuitive and emotionally driven. While we will carefully coordinate the logistical aspects of the session, the creative process itself remains fluid, open, and responsive to the moment. The goal is not staged perfection, but the creation of honest, emotionally resonant artwork with depth, atmosphere, and authenticity.

Session Location

You are not required to finalize the exact shooting location at the time of booking. However, the final location must be confirmed no later than 7 days before the session date. The selected location must be within a 45-minute driving distance from the address originally provided during booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Locations beyond this range may require additional travel fees or may not be accommodated.

Creative Trust

Being photographed can feel vulnerable because we often view ourselves through a deeply personal and subjective lens. To create the strongest possible work, you agree to place trust in my artistic judgment, creative direction, and professional expertise throughout the process.

Final Artistic Authority

While collaboration and creative input are always welcome, I retain final artistic authority regarding lighting, composition, editing style, artistic interpretation, and image selection guidance. By booking a session, you agree to grant me the creative freedom necessary to produce the highest quality artistic result.

Selection Deadline

After the proof gallery is delivered, you have 14 days to select your final images for editing.

Missed Selection Deadline

Failure to submit image selections within 14 days will be considered abandonment of the editing portion of the service. No refunds will be issued in such cases. If you contact me within 6 months of the original session date, unedited images may still be released at my sole discretion.

Delivery Timeline

Final edited artwork will be delivered within 4 weeks from the date final selections are submitted. Delivery timelines may vary slightly during periods of high demand.

Artistic Editing

Final delivered images reflect my personal artistic style, color grading, retouching approach, and creative interpretation. By booking a session, you acknowledge that you are familiar with my portfolio and trust my artistic direction. Requests for extensive re-editing, stylistic alterations, or RAW-style edits may be declined.

RAW Files

To preserve the artistic integrity of the work, unedited RAW files are not included and are not part of any collection unless separately licensed in writing. RAW files are unfinished source materials and do not represent the final artistic vision or completed artwork.

Archive & Backup

All final delivered images are archived and backed up following delivery. However, no guarantee can be made that files will be preserved indefinitely. Archiving and backup are offered as a courtesy and do not constitute an indefinite storage service.

Your Responsibility

Ultimately, the responsibility of preserving and backing up your photographs rests with you. Once you have downloaded your final gallery, I strongly recommend that you save your images to a reliable cloud service — such as iCloud, Google Drive, or Dropbox — which offers the most secure long-term preservation.

Archive Retrieval Fee

If, 30 days or more after you have downloaded your final gallery, you request that images be pulled from the archive and re-sent to you, a retrieval fee of $100 will apply. This fee covers the time, labor, and handling involved in locating, retrieving, and re-sending archived files. I would genuinely prefer that you keep your own backup and never need this service — but should the need arise, the fee is non-negotiable.

Artistic Ownership

All images created during the session remain the intellectual property and copyrighted work of the photographer under United States copyright law. Purchasing a session or collection does not transfer copyright ownership to the client unless explicitly agreed to in writing. Client privacy is fully respected. No images will ever be published, shared, or used for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, or marketing purposes without your explicit written permission.

Personal Usage License

You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the delivered images for personal use and self-promotional professional use. This includes: printing the images for personal display, sharing on personal social media platforms, use on personal websites, LinkedIn and professional profiles, and personal portfolios, casting submissions, and self-promotion. The client may not: sell the images, transfer usage rights to third parties, submit the images to stock libraries, use the images for product endorsement, alter the images beyond basic cropping for platform formatting, or use the images in paid advertising campaigns or commercial licensing without written permission.

Commercial Usage

Commercial usage includes, but is not limited to: paid advertising campaigns, brand partnerships, product promotion, billboard or print advertising, commercial publication licensing, and third-party commercial distribution. Any commercial usage beyond personal or self-promotional use requires a separate written commercial license agreement and additional licensing fees. Unauthorized commercial usage constitutes copyright infringement and may result in legal action.

Model Release & Privacy

Your privacy is treated with the highest level of respect. No photographs will ever be publicly displayed, shared, published, or used for portfolio, website, social media, educational, promotional, or marketing purposes without your explicit written consent. If permission is granted at any time, you may revoke future promotional usage in writing.

Safe Environment

You agree to provide a reasonably safe working environment during the session. While every reasonable level of care is taken when operating professional equipment inside a residential space, I am not responsible for ordinary incidental risks or accidental issues that may naturally occur during the course of an in-home photoshoot.

Technical Failure

In the highly unlikely event of catastrophic technical failure — including corrupted memory cards, data loss, or severe equipment malfunction — liability is limited to a full refund of all payments made, including the sitting fee. No further compensation shall be owed.

Photographer Illness — More Than 48 Hours Notice

If illness prevents me from conducting the session and notice is provided more than 48 hours in advance, the session will be rescheduled based on availability.

Photographer Illness — Less Than 48 Hours Notice

If illness forces cancellation less than 48 hours before the scheduled session, you may choose either: a full refund, or rescheduling based on availability.

Client Conduct & Session Termination

I reserve the right to terminate or cancel the session without refund in cases involving: unsafe conditions, harassment, threatening behavior, illegal activity, severe disruption, or any situation that prevents the session from being conducted safely or professionally.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: illness, natural disasters, government restrictions, transportation failures, emergencies, power outages, severe weather, acts of war, civil unrest, or unforeseen events beyond reasonable control.
